Cookie Policy.

The short version
saturnl.ink only sets first-party cookies. There are no advertising cookies, no third-party trackers and no cross-site profiling. The cookies needed to log in and to protect the service are always on; the one optional item (analytics) is off until you switch it on. Refusing it never limits what you can do on the site.
Strictly necessary
These are exempt from consent because the service cannot work, or cannot be kept safe, without them (art. 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive, Romanian Law 506/2004 art. 4(5)). Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in running a secure service (GDPR art. 6(1)(f)) and, for logged-in users, the contract you accept when you sign up (art. 6(1)(b)).
| Name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
session | Keeps you logged in. HTTP-only, set only after you log in or sign up. | 7 days |
visitor | Signed random ID used only for abuse protection: rate limits on sign-up, login, views and clicks. Not linked to your account, not used for profiling. HTTP-only. | 30 days |
cookie_consent | Remembers your cookie choice, its version and date, so we do not ask on every page. | 6 months |
saturnl:pending-sign-up:v1 (session storage) | Restores the email verification step after a refresh in this tab. Contains only the pending reference, email address and timestamps; never your password or code. Removed after confirmation or when you start again. | Until the tab closes; recovery expires after 24 hours |
Optional: analytics
Only used if you choose "Accept all" or switch Analytics on. Legal basis: your consent (GDPR art. 6(1)(a)).
| Name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
profile-view:<username> (session storage) | Remembers in the current tab which profiles you already viewed, so refreshing a page does not count as a new view for its owner. | Until you close the tab |
If you refuse, profile views are still counted anonymously on our server, without storing anything on your device.
Changing your mind
You can withdraw or change your consent at any time, as easily as you gave it: . Withdrawing deletes the optional storage from this browser. It does not affect anything done before. You can also delete cookies from your browser settings; the site will simply ask again.
We ask again when this policy changes or after 6 months. For how we handle personal data in general and how to exercise your rights, see the Privacy Policy.
